According to the Union Ministry of Health, the total number of corona cases in the country has risen to 34.73 lakh by 8 am on Saturday. Of these, 6,642 people have been newly infected in the last 24 hours. According to the Hindustan Times, that number was 6,026 and 65,060 on Friday and Thursday, respectively. As such, more than 210,000 people in India have been infected with corona in the last three days. Besides, 1,021 people have died in the last 24 hours. The death toll in India has exceeded 1,000 for four consecutive days. The daily death toll on Thursday and Friday was 1,059 and 1,023, respectively.
